6 habits from the studio to everyday life

We’ve been in the studio for a month to create new music and record thoughts for the new album. It has been a nice creative space and so many cool ideas have already taken shape! However, in order to be in the studio and to be creative, we have noticed certain positive habits and inspiring ways of thinking that supported us along the way. We’d like to share with you six ideas that everyone can apply in their daily lives to live even more pleasantly and consciously.

DRINK WATER!

Bodies and brains need water to have energy to function! A glass of water in the morning is a very good habit that many people already have as part of the day. But it is also important to drink water throughout the day. It is said that if you feel thirsty, it is already a sign that your body is experiencing a so-called water deficiency. Don't let thirst get you down and drink water daily.

PAUSE FOR A STRETCH!

No matter how intense a project, story, or email you're in, taking a break and taking a moment away from the screen, instrument, or desktop will help you stay focused and more creative. It would be great to add a small stretch as well.

DON'T STAY TOO LONG WITH AN IDEA THAT'S NOT MOVING FORWARD…

It is perfectly normal to move on, try something new and not push where it is no longer useful. It's kind of like scrolling on Instagram for a long time. The same goes for all activities, including writing a story or whatever. NOTE, MOVE FORWARD. “Action ends suffering” (Anthony Trucks).

TAKE IT EASY!

If you are in a hurry and want a 100% performance right away, there is a very good chance that you will stumble. Rather, try it calmly, let’s say 80-90 %, so there’s space for improvement.

THE WHOLE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT!

Tõnu: “When recording drums, I try not to pay too much attention to details. So that the song has energy, a flow, enough elements, the right sounds in the right place, and if necessary, enough air ... There are thousands of details in the music, but in the end, the listener hears the whole.”

PRAISE YOURSELF WHEN YOU CREATED SOMETHING, WHEN YOU DID SOMETHING WELL!

We have a tradition with the band that when a great idea is born, we immediately take it easy and enjoy the bliss that comes with creating something. We also imply it to our daily lives as well - we praise ourselves if we do something well. Why? Because daily praise is important for everyone to stay motivated, no matter what they do!
